Arnica typically grows in mountainous regions and is characterized by its bright yellow flowers, which bloom from late spring to early summer. As a child I was accustomed to pick up this flower every year for our school.
Growing up in a communist country, alternative/holistic medicine was very highly used and accepted by the people. Our school had to give to the government specific medicinal plants, which were used to make a large variety of herbal medicinal remedies. Arnica has been used for centuries in traditional medicine for its health properties and therapeutic benefits.
